Educational Savings Accounts

Kehilla participates in the State of Tennessee Educational Savings Account program. This program creates an account using the money allocated to each student by the state that the student can use to attend an approved school of their choosing.

To be eligible for ESA in 2023-2024, you must either:

  • have attended a Tennessee public school for the entirety of the 22-23 school year OR

  • have moved to Tennessee during the 22-23 school year OR

  • have already participated in the ESA program in 22-23

Additionally, there is a maximum income for ESA participation, subject to family size.

For more information and to apply, visit the ESA website. To use the ESA at Kehilla, you need to apply and be accepted to both the ESA and to Kehilla separately. For questions regarding ESAs, please email becky@jewishnashville.org

Financial Assistance

Kehilla's FA program is designed to make a Kehilla education possible for all families. Kehilla is proud to use the Clarity Application to determine a family’s level of financial need based on the information that families share in the application which includes assets, income, expenses, and debts.

To get started, please go to the Clarity Application and create an account. The application typically takes less than 30 minutes to complete. The Clarity Application is also mobile-friendly so you can complete it from anywhere. You are also able to save your progress and return at any time. At the end of the application, there is a $55 fee to submit, and you can share your application with additional schools that accept the Clarity Application for no additional charge. Simply use the dropdown menu in the application to select those schools.

Please remember to return to your dashboard after you complete and submit your Clarity Application, as there may be additional information requested.

The deadline for completing the financial assistance application including relevant supplemental documents with full access to funding is February 17, 2023 for returning families and March 15 for new families. Families applying after that date will be considered for Financial Assistance, but subject to remaining availability of funds.and should apply within 2 weeks after submitting their application.

If you need support during the process of completing your application, there is in-app support available as well as email support at support@claritytuition.com in both English and Spanish. The application itself is also fully translated into Spanish. Questions about financial assistance can be directed to Becky Gunn at becky@jewishnashville.org
