Kehilla is an affordable, high-quality private high school that combines academic excellence with a values-based curriculum. We’re proud to be the only Jewish high school in Middle Tennessee – and equally proud to welcome students of all faith backgrounds into our inclusive and supportive learning community. Kehilla empowers teens to grow intellectually, ethically, and spiritually within a close-knit environment.
We’re located within the beautiful setting of the West End Synagogue, just beside the historic Richland-West End neighborhood. Our setting offers us accessibility to the abundant learning opportunities in Nashville, all while being part of a vibrant, community-oriented environment.
Our Jewish Studies program includes:
Jewish Ethics, exploring modern moral dilemmas through a Jewish lens.
Talmud 1 & 2, focusing on Jewish law, tradition, and interpretation.
Hebrew Language, offered at all levels using the Bishvil Ha-Ivrit curriculum.
We encourage students to connect Jewish teachings to their own values and experiences.
Kehilla is a pluralistic and welcoming community where students of all backgrounds are fully embraced. While Jewish students engage in a traditional yeshiva curriculum, students from other faith backgrounds explore the history and traditions of Western religions, with an emphasis on shared values and ethical inquiry. Our goal is to make religious education meaningful and accessible to everyone.
Our college counseling program is highly personalized. Students work closely with a professional counselor and faculty to explore their goals, identify best-fit colleges, and navigate the application process. Because our teachers know students so well, they write thoughtful and detailed recommendations. Our graduates are confident, intellectually curious, and ready to thrive in college and beyond.
The process to apply to Kehilla includes an application form, transcript release, letters of recommendation from math & English teachers, an interview, and we accept the optional Independent School Entrance Exam. Kehilla offers early decision for applications submitted by February 17, 2025, and we accept applications on a rolling basis. As of now, 15 spots are still available for the upcoming school year.
Tuition for the 2025-2026 school year is $15,500. We are committed to making a Kehilla education accessible to every student. Our robust scholarship and financial assistance program uses the Clarity Application to assess need. The application is quick, mobile-friendly, and available in English and Spanish.
